Henry Schreiner began designing costume jewellery
in New York in 1939
He created for famous couture houses suck as Christian Dior
and produced several small runs under his own name
Exuberant and extravagant pieces were favourites of many
film stars including Marilyn Monroe
Each masterpiece was hand finished and characteristics
included domed shapes, reverse mountings, quirky balance
and large feature stones
Following his death in the early 1950s, the company was run
by his daughter and her husband until 1977
